WHO WE ARE

Supporting Houston’s Bravest

  • Six Houston firefighters pushing a red fire truck into a fire station garage

    Our Mission

The mission of the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association Charitable Foundation is to support and protect the health, safety and welfare of Houston firefighters and their families, and the communities we serve.

  • A firefighter in yellow and black turnout gear wades through floodwaters, carrying a young child in a red shirt. In the background, another person holds a plastic bag, all amid submerged houses in a neighborhood affected by flooding.

    Our Purpose

Houston firefighters deliver excellent service, are good stewards of city resources, and give back to the community. But firefighters and their families sometimes need a helping hand. The Foundation is dedicated to helping firefighters and their families and others in the community in their time of need.

  • Two firefighters inside a fire station. One is working with a tool at a cabinet, while the other stands next to him holding a large axe. Both are wearing navy shirts, tan firefighter pants, helmets, and gloves. An American flag is visible in the background.

    Our Structure

Founded in 2013, the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association Charitable Foundation is managed by a board of directors that includes Houston firefighters and civilians. Our bylaws mandate that directors of the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association always constitute the majority of the foundation board of directors. The Foundation also relies on an advisory board that includes local business and community leaders.
